Difference Between TCP/IP and OSI

Hi can anybody plz help me whats the difference between TCP/IP and OSI in networking....Im only know that TCP/IP means transmission control protocol and OSI means open system interconnection but i dont know the proper difference between TCP/IP and OSI...........

your from india! you should know this ! Seriously though, from what I remember OSI was the set of protocols some tried to make the standard way back in...before I was born, and TCP/IP is a set of protocols that actually WORKED.

i know the TCP/IP and OSI means there are some set of protocols used for
networking but i want the proper difference between Tcp and Osi means which is connection oriented and connection less.....and i also know how many layers used
for TCP and OSI....
