Twins And Livan Hernandez Agree To One-Year Deal

After losing arguably the best pitcher in the league, they had to go and get an ace type of pitcher, and they got that in Livan Hernandez. He might not be the same pitcher he once was, but he can still give you around 200innings, and he can get you around 15 wins which is pretty good.

I think this is a good signing. They needed someone since they traded Santana.
Unfortunately for them he's no where near as good. But still he's a solid pitcher.

The twins already have a decent staff, they have some young pitchers like Scott Baker and Liriano who both have great potential, the only thing that worries me about Lirano is that he's coming from a arm injury, and hopefully that wont effect him for the rest of his career.
But I agree somewhat with you that it's going to be hard for them to compete since they play in arguably the hardest division in Baseball.
