I love kits for almost any kind of craft. It's great to have the colors matched and everything in one place to buy. I did run into a problem with a beading kit because all those lovely, tiny little things were in one package and had to be hand sorted. Other than that, the kit was easy and fun to use for learning.

Yeah, if you buy a bead kit, you need to see if the beads are matched or not. I have about 10,000 beads that came all together with the loom thing. I haven't gotten brave or bored enough to try to sort them yet.

There's a woman I met that used a cross stitch pattern to bead from. The finished project was absolutely beautiful. I can't imagine how long it took her or how many thousands of beads it took!

I guess ultimately, I would like to bead some traditional Cherokee items. We'll see how it goes.
