Re: How To Put Music On Your Auction

OK, is it just me, or does anyone else hate going to a website that has music on it? lol. I hate being *forced* to listen to music, and I think that might be a bad idea if you're customers are in the workplace and all the sudden have music blaring out of their speakers. (busted).

I like the ones where I get the option to turn on the music if I'd like to hear it, and not the ones that come on automatically.

Hahahaha..that happened to me with Trina's auction!! There's only 6 of us working in the office and the boss is rarely there. I try to keep the speakers turned off at work for this very reason, but the one time I forgot, guess who was there??? It was actually pretty funny, my boss is easygoing and his own computer surprises him with unexpected sounds as well...he knows we don't spend 8 hours of the day reviewing insurance info online, so no biggy!
As far as liking the music, if it fit's the auction, I find it enjoyable!! :D

Re: How To Put Music On Your Auction

I think music is neat on auctions, but prefer ones that do not play unless you hit the button. I guess I'm a little confused about copyright laws. If you use someone else's music, you can get in trouble, can't you?

Re: How To Put Music On Your Auction

Hi! I am a newborn here. Just registered. I'll go introduce myself in a bit. I was doing a search on how to add music to my auctions. From what I understand so far, you need a web site to do this. Am I right? Thanks a bunch!

hey there fairyquadmom - maybe it's not quite so annoying on websites, but when i first started getting hooked on ebay, there were many auctions with music on them, and i HATED them becuz they would just freeze up my old 95 dinosaur while that music loaded! (that someone thought was so cute that it would help sell their auction?) i felt hijacked! well now --5 years later-- i've only graduated to a 98, but thankfully it now seems rare and surprises me when i get "snagged" by one of those auctions -which still forces me to stop and wait for music to load... but... i sure am hoping that that does NOT start getting popular again! it still makes me want to get out of there & not even look at their auction --also no good for sniping besides - some of us poor fools are so far out in the woods, we may never get off dial-up either....

Re: How To Put Music On Your Auction

It really doesn't matter to me if there is music on an auction or not, since I don't have my speakers turned on for surfing Ebay.
