Re: Sniper programs

I've never used a sniper program, but I kinda wished I did for a few auctions I was going for. Getting outbid at the last second by 2 cents is enough to make anyone scream.

I use unwiredbuyer - it's not technically a sniping program as much as a reminder service ("your auction is ending... you wanna bid?"). They have a signup bonus and a referral bonus, so if you'd like me to refer you, I'd be delighted to :)

Re: Sniper programs

I use "auction sniper" whenever i bid. I hate waiting around to make a bid and i only bid at the last minute. I love it! You can set as high as you want it to go. I usually browse auctions and put it into the program with my max bid and forget about it. If i didnt win i didnt loose anything in my eyes.

I just bought two Halloween costumes for my girls this way. I feel i got a great deal on them 15.00 each for nice quality costumes.

The biggest "plus" of unwiredbuyer is that you don't have to be at your computer to bid - you only have to have cell signal to your cell phone. It's very convenient!

Re: Sniper programs

I'm a very boring bidder, I guess. When I first bid, I enter the maximum I'm willing to go and let things take their course. Sometimes I don't bid until the last few hours. I've only lost one or two auctions.

Re: Sniper programs

Well, in the past I've always bid the old fashioned way. I have a friend who uses a sniper program, and she raves about it. I'm tempted to give it a try myself. Geez, if enough people start using these things, everybody's going to have to. Anything to get an edge, I guess.

Re: Sniper programs

I just have a terrible memory to bid and i dont like bidding till the last minute because i suffer from buyers remorse or i find a buy it now one i would rather have alot of times. I like having the power to cancel that bid if i choose.

Re: Sniper programs

I guess I don't buy or sell often enough to even know there was such a program. But, I don't think I'd use one if I did know about it. Seems bidding at the last minute would lose it's thrill.

If it were automated bidding at the last moment, yeah... but (and I'm not meaning to be a broken record here!) unwiredbuyer doesn't bid FOR you... it just gives you a last-minute opportunity to bid if you choose. You can even bid via the cell phone!
