Worth it? I know it's a crappy little car, but it gets amazing gas mileage and the guy is only asking $750.

I'm going to see it and test it later in the week, but what do you guys say? It's got 100k miles and he says it runs great with no repairs or parts needed.

It would be my first car, so I'm not aiming for the BMW yet.

Opinions?

It wouldn't be that bad. Especially for $750. Even with a few repairs your overall cost won't be that high considering the initial investment was so low.

Definitely test it out though. For $750 if it runs well and you don't foresee any upcoming mechanical issues then it's probably worth it. Ask the owner how recently the car was checked out by a mechanic. Ideally they will know and will be able to tell you if any issues came up. They might avoid telling you small details too though so you'll have to play some of it by ear.

If it's in as good as condition as he says, then that's worth it. Yeah it's a piece but it gets great gas mileage and is perfect for putting around town. I need to find a daily so I can park my car and build it. I would look for something exactly like what you found there.

You're fine as long as you don't have a lot of hills to go up an down.

Parts are plentiful and they're easy to work on.

Geos will run FOREVER if you treat them right. I had one for many years until one of the cylinders died and then it only ran on two since it was the tudor with the three cylinder.
