Automatic or Standard? - Page 3

I prefer standard to automatic, you get more control. Standard's are the normal ones over here, usually.

I drive a stick and not like its a porche like some people drive their sticks. I smack my forehead when people do that. You aren't on a race track, I think to myself. What the hell are you doing.

I have got both. I have an automatic for my daily driver because I live near and work in a big city, and it's a pain in traffic with a manual. But... I have a manual for my more fun, fast car =)

That is ****ing sweet, so many people now a days can't even drive a standard. I've heard in a lot of other countries most cars are manual trans which says a lot about how freakin' lazy this country is. I've never owned a vehicle with power windows, seats any of that garbage it's just more to go wrong and one of those "lazy" features. My first three vehicles didn't even have power steering.

I've owned vehicles without power steering, and most of those is because I took it out. Never had a car with A/C either. Two of which were ones I took it out of. My car now though has power windows, power door locks, power mirrors, heated mirrors, etc. Though it is stripped and it about to lose power steering. Only reason I kept it in is cause it's a drift car and power steering helps but I am going to try my hand without it.

I haven't learned to drive yet, but I'll definitely be starting on an automatic, my dad said that I'll be forced to learn how to drive stick though eventually so I'll know how to drive both by the end of it all.
