List the cars you've owned, and name your favorite!

List off the cars you've owned, and name which of them was your favorite.

Add pictures if you like too!

  1. 1990ish Ford Tempo or Mercury Topaz (Red) - My family went through a phase of owning these cars for a while. Naturally, my "first car" was one of these. Although it technically wasn't my car, I still had the most say in who drove it where.
  2. 1987ish Mazda 626 (Baby Blue)- My first official car. When my grandparents bought a new car, they gave me their old one. It went pretty fast, and was my first five-speed. I've driven stick ever since.
  3. 1987 Suzuki Forsa (White with a green stripe) - The first car I'd ever bought. After my car died while my mom was driving it (coincidence ), I had to look for a new one. While looking to buy an RV, or something, my parents discovered this guy had an old car for sale --> 3-cylinder five-speed Forza. I think I paid $1,200 or so for it, and it went like a dream (for an older car). We painted a ridiculous green racing stripe on it --> For that reason, I'd say this was my favorite car so far.
  4. 1996 Suzuki Swift (Black) - When my dad's car finally quit on him, he purchased this car to go back and forth from work. My parents made me an offer of trading this car for my Forsa, and something like $500, or so... I took it!
  5. 1997 Suzuki Swift (Green) - I'm now able to drive this today!! Literally this day, we've got everything finished on it!! When the Forsa finally quit after a year or so, my dad needed a way to go to work again. I was away for the summer, and didn't need a car. Thus, he took mine. After putting a bunch of mileage on it, we just agreed to let my Dad keep it already --> He'd found this slightly newer green one; exact same car. I get that one now!
In the spring, I'm planning to paint a ridiculous white stripe on it, so it'll be the opposite of the Forsa.

Jebus fothermucking Cripes, have you lost your mime!?

My first and only (so far) car is a Renault Clio - it's the same (actually its different but you get the idea lol) as in this picture except it has 5 doors. My parents bought it for me and I'm still paying them back

If they were right, I'd agree, but its them they know, not me.

1994 Toyota 4Runner

it was my first vehicle, I bought it private from some guy off the street. I paid the guy 4 grand in December of 2002 for it. However I didnt have my license until around March of 2003, so it sat for a few months... those were in fact the months I worked on it to get it into running shape. I actually ended up spending another 1200 on a crate motor that I had put in. Had to happen twice considering the mechanic who I paid to do it put some of the seals in backwards... fortunately he covered it in his "warranty".

Aside from the Mechanical goodies in it, I put Airbags on it... for real human purposes not show. 4Runners have a tendancy to sag in the rear end, with the "Air-Lift" kit it helped to eradicate that sag thus making the vehicle look less worn out.

I'd also paid another 700 or so for my stereo system. Went with the mock stock speakers in the door panels and a 500 watt amp in the back tied to a"Like New" 12inch Bazooka Tube I'd bought from a friend who previously used it on his boat.

Toward the end of my 4Runners life I had well over 400k miles on it and was going through a quart of oil every week which fortunately coincided with how often I had to fill the gas tank up.

I ended up trading that piece in for my next Vehicle:

2006 Toyota Tundra

Now before I start catching flak on "Buy American!" I just want to point out that my truck is 90% built in the US... as the dealer said... "Its Japanese Spec, American Made" That same truck could not be driven across teh pond in Japan. So Hah! My purchase of Toyota helped employ some factory workers in Indiana for day or so.

Currently its still stock, aside from putting on a tonneau cover I havent done anything to it. Just a standard "Spectra Blue Mica" V6 2-wheel drive Tundra. I love my truck though, gets easily twice the gas mileage that poor 4Runner used to get.

1990 Pontiac Firebird

First car ever. My mom found it at a used car lot and checked me out of school early to go look at it. She new I wanted an old American muscle car as a first car but being a girl I guess she didn't understand because a 1990 V6 Firebird isn't what I meant. However I did look at it but said no thanks. I looked around for two more weeks, came up with nothing, and finally settled back on the Firebird because it had T-Tops even though it didn't run. Gave them 1,000 USD and had it towed home as it didn't run. Got it running and drove it for about two years. Transmission went out and I sold it to a friend who wanted it.

1987 Mazda RX-7 Non-Turbo

Bought it from a co-worker who learned I had to get rid of my Firebird. I got it for 500 USD and had to put a clutch in it. Was also my first manual. Once I got used to it I loved it and fell in love with rotary engines. Went through a transmission on this one but replaced it and kept driving. Owned this one while still buying my second car which was:

1988 Mazda RX-7 Non-Turbo

Got this from a friend's mom who co-owned a used car lot. It was very pretty and I couldn't pass up the 500 USD price tag. Had this one and the other until the 87 RX-7 just pretty much died from all the abuse. Sold them both to a friend for 150 USD.

1987 RX-7 Turbo

My fourth car is my favorite so far and I miss it so much. Had quite a few modifications. I got many nods with this car and everyone always asked me questions about it. I had so so so much fun with this thing. Anyways a coolant gasket blew on me and I couldn't afford to have the engine pulled and taken apart and I couldn't do it myself because the apartment office wouldn't let me do it in the parking lot lol. Ended up getting rid of it for dirt cheap though I wish I had kept on to it.

Technically my current car was purchased next but I will hold off on it until the end.

1990 Nissan 240SX Hatchback

I have always liked 240s and even though I prefer the coupes the hatches look nice too. I bought this one from a friend for 500 USD (seems to be a common theme huh? lol) but I had to go get it. I picked it up but after a while it just started overheating and because I didn't really like this particular one I left it at a gas station one day when it overheated and never bothered to go back to get it. I have no idea where it is right now...

1997 Ford Ranger

I know this doesn't fit the mold of what I usually drive but it is manual and my dad gave it to me. It was a fleet vehicle, no A/c, no P/S, four on the floor. My friends spray paint their vehicles a lot (drifters) and with my practice with that I decided to spray my truck. Flat black with a dark blue stripe on the back like the cars on old. It was very slow and I hated it, but we did move a lot of stuff with it. Sold it to a Mexican for $250.

1986 Toyota Cressida

My current and second most favorite car was never even meant to be a daily driver at all. Me and a friend bought it from a guy on eBay for $500 (lol). It has 200,000 miles on it and leaked oil. We went and got it and drove it back with all intentions of turning it into a track-only drift car. We swapped the engine (fresh engine with 30,000 miles), did full suspension swap with aftermartet stuff and stripped the interior. Also swapped out the rearend for a welded 4:10 one. Got it ready a day before her first show-off and she came in fourth place out of twenty participants. That included the six hour drive there. We were very happy and she went to a few more drift events until I was driving her to Taco Bell one night a Dodge Ram pulled out in from of me. Totaled the car but we put it back together for 150 USD (thank you kind sponsor) and decided to get another car for drifting and I bought out my half of it and continue to use it for a daily driver now. Drift sessions are few and far apart but this car still pulls just as hard as day one and I love her.

I have pictures of all my cars but I will just go ahead and post two videos of the day we swapped the engine into the Cressida. Came with a US-Spec 2.8 liter inline 6 5MGE engine. Swapped in a 3.0 liter inline 6 6MGE from a Toyota Chaser (Japan only).

Anyways as for what's next I don't know but I do know but it will be something either much newer or much older.

Heck yeah I love Tundras! Was actually considering this as one of four choices I have for my next vehicle. Probably that same year too! Though what I wouldn't give for a diesel Hilux, just a shame they aren't brought over this way...

87 Volvo 240 wagon.... BRICK! I was 18 or 19. By the time I was done with it it had a nice head unit, speakers all around, dual 12 inch subs, an after market tach HAHA and a lot of "teen miles" which are BAD!

93 Accord which I had for one week. I had been BUGGING this guy to sell me an integra and he said he would RIGHT after I bought this thing. I sold it to my dad whos trans went out at the right time!

94 Integra. This was my BABY! I bought it with 143,000 and got rid of it at 242,000. Had a bunch of stuff done to it.

94 Accord. Thinking I would get outta the car scene.

.... Could not stand being out so now Im in a 95 Eagle talon (same as a Mitsubishi Eclipse) turbo, AWD 8)

I drove the 240SX coupe for a couple years when I first got my license. I can't remember what year it was. I think it was a '90. I really miss that car.

I forgot I had some old pics on my photobucket of my truck in the parking lot here at work. lol please excuse.. they were taken with my phone and my camera phone function sucks:

I forgot that I blacked out the rims.... I actually did that myself. I work at a painting company so it was no task to get my hands on some flat black.
