The House Rules [And the general rules of this forum]

Alright so this forum is getting a bit active. Let me set up what is most commonly called "the House Rules". These are a general set of rules which battlers can simply say "House rules" in their battle thread and both participants will know what that means. (easier than typing a rules list out if you wish to just use these) The house rules are:

-No ripping(stealing and using someone else's work in your own...this rule applies whether you like it or not!)
-Any dimensions allowed
-Any programs allowed(to be used)
-Due: 2 days after both checked in
-Can be animated or still
-Can use a stock/photo but aren't required to
-3:0 votes is an auto-win, 4:1 is an auto-win, otherwise it's first to 5 to win the battle
-No judges - every member is eligable to vote in the battle as long as they vote according to the rules of this forum(don't have to use this, just thought i'd bold!)
-1 round only
-Not a "ping-pong" battle (take 1 pic, edit it, send it to other person, they edit, send back, etc)
-Voters must give a valid explanation as to their vote or it does not count (applies whether like it or not!)
-If battle is still not over after 7 days since both entries were entered, person with highest votes wins (like it or not!)
-Ties are not resolved(it's an official draw)
-Loser donates 500 credits to winner (if loser hasn't got enough, all credits are donated nontheless. Loser does not have to donate more credits when they get them later to make up for it)
-No using premade work... you must make a new piece of work for the battle, can't just submit something you've already made.

You do not have to use these, its just here for convienience. Also, you MAY say "house rules except ____" and make an alteration yourself. Like, "House rules except only Photoshop allowed", "House rules except image must be 100x500px", etc.

Now for voters you do not have a choice how you vote. You MUST clearly validate your vote with a non-BS explanation. Meaning, "i like the colors", "it just looks better", etc. will NOT suffice. Also, no hate votes, dickriding votes, etc etc. You cannot base your vote on personal opinions about one of the contestants.

Check-ins: Contestants should check in before entering the battle. If you were called out, post something like "i accept your callout" etc.

Another rule that applies always, no free posting! Aka spamming, having conversations in battle threads is not allowed! The ONLY posts that should be in battle threads are the contestant's CHECK IN posts and their SUBMISSIONS, FOLLOWED BY people VOTING. THAT IS IT!

If a contestant checks in and then is ready to post, they may double post with their submission under their check in. Doesn't matter too much.

Have fun battling!

If the Original battle thread, were the challenger accepts and all judges are named is too crowded, is it allowed to make a new thread for the voting?

Yes, the rules aren't absolute or required to use in any way. Didn't you read Blur's post?
