James Bond Official Thread

Well there's a Star Wars official thread and a Star Trek one, so I decided to create the official James Bond thread. You can talk about any James Bond movie, actor, Bond girl. Anything you want, this is the place to do it.

So here's a few questions for James Bond fans.

Favorite James Bond actor?
Favorite James Bond movie?
Favorite Bond Girl?

Lets get this thread going.

Casino Royale is my favorite by far. I haven't seen many of the old movies, but even older people I know were blown away by this one.

Daniel Craig is great as Bond and it's nice to see a switch from pretty-boy Brosnan to a rough and tough **** kicker like Craig.

I'm pretty much Old School when it comes to James Bond. The first Bond movie I saw in the theater was DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER with Sean Connery and to date Connery remains my favorite Bond and DAF my favorite Bond movie.

Daniel Craig is a serious contender for 2end favorite, though. I'm going to wait until his next Bond movie before I make up my mind.

I can't help but wish they'd kept Brosnan around for another movie. He was just starting to lose those pretty boy looks and get a rougher, more world-weary look.

I would have liked to see another Brosnan Bond movie too but it's too late for that now. My favorite Bond is currently Brosnan. I was worried when I heard it was time for a replacement Bond but I think Craig made a very good first impression.

I think one movie is too early to bump Daniel Craig to 1st favorite Bond no matter how good his performance was. One thing is for sure I REALLY hope he sticks around for a good 6 or 7 movies. He did an amazing job playing Bond in Casino Royale. Does anybody know how many movies are in his contract? He's going to be asking for a TON of money when it comes time to renew that bad boy..

I was a bit put off by the decision to bring Casino Royale back in time before the other Bond movies but really after a small amount of annoyance I got over it. The weird thing was that it was present time, yet his first mission. Kind of as if he's taking the Bond series in a new direction similar to Christian Bale and Batman Begins. I think it worked though and I'm looking forward to seeing the next Bond movies.

My favorite Bond movie is quite possibly a tossup between GoldenEye and The World is Not Enough. I'd put Casino Royale at a very close 2nd. I'd almost put Casino Royale as my favorite but I don't like to jump to conclusions too soon on things like this. I did love the movie though. I want to see more of Daniel Craig first though.

As for favorite Bond girl? I'd say Sophie Marceau (Elektra King) from The World is Not Enough or Famke Janssen (Xenia Onatopp) from GoldenEye. Out of all the recent Bond girls they both can actually act and have had successful acting careers outside of Bond movies and modeling. (Unlike a lot of the other Bond girls).. Famke Janssen is currently best known for her role as Jean Grey (The Phoenix) in the X-Men trilogy. Sohpie Marceau hasn't been in many things I've seen but she was perfect in Braveheart.

Eva Green also was top notch in Casino Royale as Vesper Lynd.

Daniel Craig certainly made an impression on me with his first outing as Bond. What I liked about him is that like Timothy Dalton he's playing the James Bond of the Ian Fleming books rather than the movie version of Bond (which is almost a totally different animal)

I don't know how many Bond movies Craig signed up for but I'd be surprised if it's any more than three or four. I think Roger Moore still holds the record with seven Bond movies under his belt but we saw what happened to him when he stuck around too long.

The only problem I had with the reboot/restart of the Bond films is that if they were going to reboot/restart then they should have gone all the way and recast M as well as I think that confused a lot of people.

I have to go with Sean Connery as my favorite James Bond with Daniel Craig coming a close second. I believe after a few more movies from Craig I believe that he will surpass Connery has the best Bond ever.

My favorite Bond girl was Denise Richards, I've always been a fan of her, and she does a great job as a Bond girl.

I have to agree with Casino Royal as being the best one, I just love the plot and the action scenes are amazing. The beggining is insane as well.

Nooo... She is a terrible actor and she couldn't deliver he lines without cracking a smile, even the serious/scared lines. If somebody who could actually act had had her part in TWINE the movie would have been a lot better. She was horrible if you ask me.

Yeah, Denise Richards was probably my least favorite Bond girl ever.

Denise Richards gets way too bad a rap for her turn as a Bond girl. Compared with the horrid performances of some other Bond girls such as Britt Ekland, Tanya Roberts and Maryam D'Abo, Denise Richards practically gave an Academy Award performance.
