I knew during the Bount arc there was a noticeable animation drop. Now that I am watching the Arrancar arc I can't help but note that some episodes look great while others look terrible.

Overall I think the animation quality has dropped some especially in the filler episodes of the arrancar arc.

Any thoughts?

After watching some of the Arrancar episode arc the Bount arc and the Soul Society arc it looks like there was an animation drop off.

The Bount arc animation looks to be the worst

The Arrancar arc is better but not nearly as good as the Soul Society arc. It could be because Lunar did a better job encoding the anime then dattebayo but even details on the face (shading and face lines) simply do not appear in the latter end of the story.

I think they werent sure if bleach was going to run so long and spent more money per episode in the Soul Society Arc...


EDIT: Actually after looking at some of the episodes again the early episodes of bleach and the Arrancar arc have the same quality (early being the first 10-15 episodes). The Bount arc actually has better drawing than the Arrancar arc.

Infact, I have been appalled right now that the animation has been so shotty character drawings are not even consistent and sometimes they just look really awkward.
