We are all animals and this town is just one big zoo. Sometimes I forget this biological classification but there are times when human behaviors remind me that people do fall under the same Kingdom Animalia together with other living creatures we simply call animals (bio refresher: we're phylum Chordata, class Mammalia, order Primates, family Hominidae, genus Homo, species Sapien).

However, this week the zoo that interested me the most is the smaller one where we keep and battle our GF pets.

Selected Pet Profiles:

vynx - my pet tiger, also known as my accessory ever since I colored him to match my house paint; he's neither the strongest nor the weakest among the pets and his mid-ranged level allows him to battle against both strong and weak ones.

Hobbes - tiger owned by Beardy. His strength, defense, agility (SDA) stats are insane (like the other test tube pets) and so is his health. One of the oldest pets, Hobbes is almost always sure to win a battle in the arena, making him a favorite bet, unless you put a spell on him.

Artemis - short-tailed dragon owned by Tom. SDAs are also insane. I'm not sure whether she's a test tube pet or she came from an egg. What I recall most about Artemis is that she can cast an ice magic spell. It's the first time I've seen spells at work (although technically her initial spell didn't have any effect). The first group battle in the arena was won by Artemis when she used her spell against vynx and Hobbes.

Ookie - monkey owned by Don Santino. His SDAs are high especially his agility level. As of writing, he's one of the most leveled pets (level 18). Ookie won the last Royal Rumble against two other strong pets, Hobbes and Artemis.

Tigger - tiger owned by Bon. Through intensive training and battling experience, Tigger has turned from a mid leveled pet to the highest leveled pet overnight. He's also equipped with magic spells. It should be interesting to see what happens when he joins the next Royal Rumble. I heard he's also into playing with cigarettes.

Juneau - pegasus owned by Tom. He's definitely one of my favorite pets. Coup de coeur! I think we all love him and miss him when he's not battling. His heart is very solid, that's all I can say.

Vandal - roid owned by Raiquen. I haven't seen him battle lately, nor his sibling Enigma. He still trains regularly and has acquired some spells too. Raiquen explained the recent scarcity of salad from the market as being due to Vandal's vegan lifestyle.

Other Pets:

Mrs. K's long-tailed dragon, Papaya, has been training and battling well. Zane's raptor, Mog, is very strong but he's not being battled nor trained recently. The three other pets that caught my attention for their participation in the arena are Zinedine (Dolce's cat), Atreyu_Jr (Visa's short-tailed dragon) and R1ppy (Jack's raptor). There's also Emily, the whorepet (like Juneau but he prefers to be called the stud).

New Breeds:

After Gobbler and Peyton, the zoo's premier twin cats from Misty (by Willow) and Hobbes, comes the quadruplets. The quads named Figgy, Eros, Nebo and dex, will hatch in a couple of days. They're a product of crossbreeding two powerful pets: Artemis and Hobbes. What happens when you mate a dragon with a tiger? I wonder...

Tom also offered breeding services using his pets Artemis and Juneau. What happens when you mix a dragon and a pegasus? We'll find out when Scooter and Zippo hatch in two days.

Artemis and Hobbes have the most number of offsprings (six each) in the zoo. Does that reveal something about their owners?

Anyway, the past few days have been entertaining with the battles and wagers happening in the arena. Same goes for the Town Hall chats that accompanied those. Although I think it's one of those things that you have to really get into in order to fully appreciate it. They're not as fun when you're a simple spectator but they're certainly more uplifting than other animal battles happening in GF town.

I have received several requests from readers regarding what they'd like to see sometime in GFisms and I'm considering honoring "some" of them, hopefully fitting everything into one single entry.
