Bonjour!
Since blogging about my real life won't generate much interest unless you're a stay-at-home parent and think that baby poop is a big event, I decided to write about GF life instead, hence the gfisms series. Enjoy!

GFisms 30: The Heat is On

It's summer! And in GF town, that means heavier traffic especially for those that start their vacation and have more time to hang out.
I can see Hon making his retour. How I missed this dude. Even Zane has resurfaced from his rock. XR8D quickly passed to say coucou but he's gone back trumpeting somewhere. Cruella is also back, without husband Jack, but she's kept us updated about what happened to them in the past few months. My favorite comeback would be that of Willow. And for some reason, with her reappearance came the resurrection of morbid themed topics about contemplations on death or just news about defuncts. Coincidence? ;)
The 30th entry has been planned for release last month, in time for the first year anniversary of GFisms. Yep, it's been a year since that day I had nothing else better to do but experiment with some of the perks of being a member of the High Society. Lately though, I haven't had that leisure. It seems that there's always something that has to be done while in town. These preoccupations and the fact that things have been constantly changing around here lately, made it difficult for me to write an update that wouldn't have been passé by the time of its publishing.
So what's new (or not so new)? Latest fashion trend is sporting Wit's look; you see it everywhere. I must admit I've sometimes thought I was dealing with him instead of one of his imposters. This happens more frequently when I'm talking to Bagels. I wonder why.
Gayos has also organised a literature convention involving some of the town's talented writers like Tom, Lecter, Klutz, Bob, Tam, Ellen, Dolce, Boom and Reeve. Speaking of the latter, he started a new comic journal series that I recommend residents to check out.
Nobel has left town and there's some kind of a rally and counter rally going on with people in colored shirts. Go Purple!
Bob and Posh signed up for the law enforcement team and had to endure the heatwave on their very first day. It must have been fun for them to patrol on the streets in their full uniform under the scorching sun, while everyone else were scantily dressed or even running amok nekkid. I can't say I've gotten used to it completely but I've had found some helpful methods of dealing with the torture.
So yeah, until the next entry. Maybe I'll then find the time to pick up some magazines or posters again. Happy Birthday, GFisms!

Inorite? Maybe this will help them find out that there's actually a guide to all the "stage names" of GFisms characters.
For those who haven't found out, it's under my avatar on the left side control panel. It's called "Inside GFisms".
I did add three new characters for this entry. Boom, Tam, and Klutz made their GFisms debut in this entry.Posted 07-03-2009 at 06:32 PM by ysabel
