Interesting post. If you think about it, though, if she hadn't been mentally ill, her writing wouldn't be what it is. Same with Ernest Hemingway. In fact, the same could be said for many artists, whether you're talking about writers, painters, musicians, etc.

Hemingway. I'd like to see what he had to say about modern times. Same for Poe and Chaucer.
