I'm starting Origin of Species by Darwin. I figured I should check out what all the hubbub was over ;)
I just finished A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson. It's an interesting book about what we know, who figured it out and how, as well as what we can't explain.

Not a bad idea, just keep in mind once you've finished it that that isn't the end of the story... there's been close to 150 years of research done on the topic since then.

I just finished Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchet.
The best way to describe it is Hitchhikers Guide to the Apocalypse. I liked it a lot.

Flower For Algernon, isn't that a short story?
I read it earlier this year, some of it was lost on me. Seems like a typical parabola story to me.
