1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die pt 1.

I found this list on line and thought that it was pretty interesting. I dont know who put it together though. So far I've read ten of the books on the list and I'm working on my 11th. I had to shorten it into 2 parts because it had too many characters.

Hmmm, pretty good list. Who wrote it? Catch 22 is a pretty good book.

I've read 27 of these. It took me about 6 months to read Foucoult's Pendulum, and I still didn't understand it.

Two of my all-time favorites are on this list. A lot that I've been meaning to read, too.

There are a couple on there that I had to read for my Anthropology classes - Things Fall Apart, and The God of Small Things. I recommend both

The Time Traveller's Wife should be on that list.

ok off to read part II

thanks for posting these, Red.

Sadly I haven't read much of these books. Sometimes I see authors I know but their books that I've read aren't the ones listed. I have indeed seen some of the movie versions of the books, if that counts as knowing it before I die. LOL.

Hopefully I'll have more luck with the second list.

Wow, just glancing through I haven't read a single one. I need to get busy.

What's The time traveller's wife about Jeanie? It sounds intriguing.
