Excruciatingly Boring Books?

Recently I've gotten back into reading since i have to finish my summer reading project for english class, the books that i have to read this year aren't that bad except for Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin which I hated.

Last summer I had to read one book and let me tell you it was terrible. I had to read "The Inferno" by Dante Alghieri it was such a boring book and it was like 500 pages with almost microscopic text.

Anybody else read some terrible books that they hated?

"Ohh! OOOhhh!!!-Oh and again! I made it. I know it. I can't see it but I know I made it. Oh my God I made it. Alright, don't give up. This is for everything. This is when I don't have to do it. This one right here is when I don't have to do it, which leaves nothing else but the one. No I don't think so. Not there. God I wish I could turn the volume-OH **** Aahhh son of a **** I talk too much. ****." - 00vega -

If it was so boring wouldn't it put you to sleep instead of giving you insomnia?

One of the key problems today is that politics is such a disgrace, good people don't go into government.

Even Herman Melville's short stories are intolerable. Benito Cereno is an example.

Umm considering I am able to pick up the dictionary or any manual to read, I guess I haven't really come across anything too boring for me. Lol. I don't think I'd be able to read anything on politics or economy though...

Haha I thought I was the only one that had to read that book, that was terrible, I don't know how some people view some of these books as masterpieces and great pieces of literature when their books are so boring that no human being can bear to finish them.

I never could get through Moby Dick, Thank goodness for movies and cliffnotes, and I only got through Death of a Salesman cause we actually read it in class.
