My Poem

Love Is A Wonderful Thing

Love is a wonderful thing,
When you are alone in the cold, dark night
The tender touch of compassion
The stubborn grip of care
The care in kindness

Love is a wonderful thing
When the world throws to you
Its worst
The brightness in speak
The enigma in what we do
The heart that beats in us all

In a little while
We will all
Be together
In the place we can all call home

Love is
The hopeful sprout
That will become a sheltering oak

The sacred bond
That is….

LOVE

Connor

Feel free to critique. This was written for my sixth grade year Literary MAGazine, so its two years old, so.... Again, Feel Free to Critique.

No structure, no metaphor, and no rhymes.

Horrible poem.

Since when do poems have to rhyme?

I thought it was bloody brilliant! Your wrong Steve.

She do anything necessary for him and he do anything necessary for her so don't let the necessary occur

DaStevez is correct, I did not use structure. I hate structure, especialy in Literature and Poetry. It just makes people make repetitive work. Thank You all. Nw I wish i could find my 4th grade poetry book. I used to write poetry all the time, though my skill as a 11 year old may be less than a 13 year old....
