Has anyone ever used a textbook that they really like? I think we should eliminate English class books/plays/etc. as "textbooks" for this question. I'm talking those huge multi-hundred page encyclopedias of everything about a certain subject.

I only ask because I've had one textbook that was actually an enjoyable read. It was my economics text book. Go figure. Who likes economics? It was well written, as in it explained things well, but it was also written in this sort of dry wit that kept popping up in random passages throughout. Definitely made me laugh out loud a few times. When's the last time a text book did THAT for you, huh?
