What makes you pick up a book?
When you are at a store/library/etc that sells or has books, what makes you pick one up over another?
Author Recognition
Interesting Cover Art
Interesting Title
Recommendation?
What is the most intriguing aspect to you when you see a new book?

Usually the title, but it's the blurb on the back cover that makes the final decision for me.

I was going to make that an option but you can't technically read the blurb without first picking up the book.
I agree though. I'll read that first but for me it's usually the title or the author. If it's by somebody I've read before I'm more inclined to pick it up.

All three that Hybrix mentioned, but my final decision is based on the summary, as Angel said.

The title is probably the highest on the list. Unless it's a kids book, then it's all about the cover art. Recommendations come next, but I don't have many of those that I go looking for.

Author recognition first , and then the summary. I'd also be interested in a book with big publicity just to check out what the hype is all about.

Boredom, total boredom.
But on serious level, just the title and the description of the book.
