It is an absolutely amazing tale, and it really is quite a story. Basically by reading the series you're experiencing everything that happens through his whole life (Or up until he's about 100 as of the latest book). The writing is amazing in my opinion and the emotions are displayed beautifully, you never have any idea of what will happen next...friends are lost, the battle scenes are done beautifully with amazing detail and finesse. It's also good for those who like the gore; heads being lopped off, bodies being torn asunder, etc.

Last Thursday I started the book Jack by A.M. Homes and finished it on Friday. Really good work.
Over the weekend I read This Book Will Save Your Life also by A.M. Homes....purely fantastic. ten times better than jack and most of the books that I have read so far this year.
Right Now I'm reading Dingley Falls by Michael Malone.

I just ordered a number of books by Ewart Oakeshott. I will probably begin with "The Archeology of Weapons" first. I still read through specific chapters (broken down by century) of "Arms and Armor of the Medieval Knight" when I need to brush up on a particular period of time. I also, as normal, still reading "The Medieval Sword and Shield" by Paul Wagner and Stephen Hand.

I ditched Dingley Falls today, wasted 5 days trying to get through less than 130 pages of that book.
Today I started The Green Mile pt. 1: The Two Dead Girls by Stepen King
I will probably finish this before I get home today so i'll most likely read pt 2 The Mouse on the Mile tonight

I recently started Girl, by David Thomas, if I recall. It's about the accidental sex-change of a man who goes in for a standard operation
It's actually a very good insight into the differences between males and females..

I am the only one of my kind. An oddity; unique. An abberation. Do you know what it's like? To be utterly alone? So alone...Is it any wonder I scream with rage and sorrow?
