I'm guessing about a week, maybe two.
At least you started. I've got the whole Harry Potter series (in hardback, no less) but have yet to read a single one. They're part of the stack piled next to my desk that I keep saying I've got to whittle down before it topples and falls over.

As for what I'm reading now:

For Fun: Robert Heinlein's STRANGER IN A STRANGE LAND (for maybe the fourth time)

For Inspiration: Characters & Viewpoint by Orson Scott Card

Aww thanks :) I like the quote by the way.

I'm in the final editing stages of my first novel(in short, a war story); And I'm in the process of writing a second book, kind of like a self/help book I guess..It's about a situation that happened in my life- and it's changed it dramatically, and I want to help those who have been through the same thing and don't know what to do- or just help those in general. I got professional help for it- but I know for a fact some won't even tell a soul. And I hope in writing this that it helps those who won't tell someone...(well, I hope it helps everyone who reads it..but yea)

And I've also written several poems that have been published in the newspaper and online, along with several other poems that i've written that I hope will one day be collected in a book :)

Psh....I've read it. it's completely predictable, and if you've read Jurassic Park- or Sphere, then you'd totally see it (Prey) as a rewrite of both those books.

On the other hand, I concur- that although it was predictable, it's not that bad of a book.

As for me; I just started reading "Flirting with Fourty" written by Jane Porter.

And I just finished "Right before your eyes" (dont remember the author) But it was an excellent book.

Teacher Man, by Frank McCourt.
It's about his career as a teacher in New York Public schools. This is the same author that wrote Angela's Ashes, a book about McCourt's childhood in poverty in Ireland.

I love Nick Hornby! He's one of my all-time favorite authors.

I read High Fidelity about a month back - it was brilliant, and very funny!

The TV version was on a few weeks ago. I didn't think much of it, tbh.

I am the only one of my kind. An oddity; unique. An abberation. Do you know what it's like? To be utterly alone? So alone...Is it any wonder I scream with rage and sorrow?

yeah I dont think that the movie companies are doing such a good job with his books. I borrowed the movie About a Boy from the library yesterday and wathcing it last night I felt like I wanted to stab my eyes and ears out. It was horrible in comparrison to the book.
