When and Where do you read?

When do you usually find time to read your books/mags/etc.? Is it something you do regularly? Where do you prefer to spend time reading?

------

I usually read while I'm in the kitchen (mostly the news), waiting for food to cook. Our bathroom also has a magazine/book holder. And then I also read before bedtime.

I have different bedtime routine phases: sometimes I go online to chat until I'm sleepy; sometimes I watch a movie to fall asleep; and sometimes I read a book before sleeping. Lately, I've gone back to the reading phase.

When I travel (if it's more than 15 minutes), I like to have something with me to read. But I do this only for trains and planes. The buses and cars give me motion sickness when I try to read there.

I also carry something to read if I have a doctor's appointment, unless I know that the waiting room will have something I'd be interested in checking out.

I usually find myself reading in the mornings, when i've got up too early and have time to kill before work. Usually i'll just read on the couch, I find it impossible to read in bed, I always get a sore neck. The rest of the day, I find to many distractions to read. With travelling, I can only read if the road isn't too bendy, otherwise I get car sick.

I usually read at night about an hour before bed, while I'm lying in bed. I don't really have time during the day to read, so I do it before I go to bed. Plus its a relaxing activity just before you sleep.

lately I have a special little routine with my comic books. I'll put my Futon at the angled couch position, pull the little portable card table up to the end and then set my laptop up on it so that its facing me from my right. Because I've been reading the Digital comics, I pretty much have to do the reading off of my laptop..... but this position makes it nice and easy for me to rest my right arm on the arrow keys allow me to easily flip through the pages and books as I go along.

I try not to read them at work because I can kill time way to fast reading them. Its one of those things I can say "Meh I've got 10 minutes to kill with nothing to do while I wait for this phone call"... then I start reading and 2 1/2 hours later I realize "holy hell today is almost over and I havent gotten anything done!" So I try my darndest to avoid doing that.

So that leaves me to read either Early mornings on the weekends or late night during the Week.

I don't need to find time, I have a lot of it free this year haha. It's usually before I go to bed or during the day/afternoon. Never in the morning. I read a lot if it's a good book I'm reading, but if not then I'll just pick it up every now and then. I read either in bed or on the couch or outside on the trampoline that nobody uses anymore.

In the afternoon I tend to take a bath when the neighbours feel like turning their radio volume up to 9999. The bathroom is the only quiet place in the house then.. I take a book with me, either lay it on a chair or a small table.

And late at night when everyone's gone to bed. Put on comedy central and during the crappy shows I read

In the morning I also read the news during breakfast and then its time for online blogs and forums..

I read mostly at night, and I read in the shower/bath or in bed. If I read during the day, I'll get sleepy and want to take a nap. And I don't need any help wanting to take a nap.

When I go to read usually it's early in the morning or late at night, I never read in the afternoon that's more of my active time or working out time or maybe social time with friends.

I always like to find a quiet place away from noise and distraction, I usually go for about an hour at a time. I hardly ever read right before I go to bed, but i do sometimes.

I read everyday at some time or another though.

I can read anywhere. I read in the living room while my boyfriend is watching telly, on the bus on the way to work, or even when I'm off the bus and walking in to work.
I always make time to read but sometimes I will use that time for something else. Most of my reading is done on the way to work because it's about a 30 - 45 minute journey and I can read a lot in that space of time.
To be honest it isn't something I do all that regularly but I am trying to change that as it relaxes me after a hard day at work.
