Re: Who is your favourite author?
John Grisham, I've read every book that he has written except one. I did, however hate his last book. It's based on a true event and it's written so matter-of-fact. There's no drama, no emotion.
I also like Stephen King. And guess what?? My real name's Carrie.

I love Terry Pratchett, Stephen King, Roger Zelazny and Fritz Leiber--okay I don't have ONE favourite, I'm afraid.

Re: Who is your favourite author?
There are some GREAT authors mentioned in this thread... Stephen King, of course, is wonderful... Zellanzy is very good, though I'm more fond of Heinlein, truth be told. Douglas Adams is a card.
I love Anne Rice though... I know the fad has passed, but I will always love her for her Vampire Chronicles. I thought the vampire, Lestat, was an incredible and exciting character.

Re: Who is your favorite author?
It's a toss-up between William S. Burroughs and Philip K. Dick.

Nightsurfer, you are now awesome. Douglas Adams has written the best series ever.... Next to the Lord of the Rings of course.

The good times are killing me.
That's a sandwhich of Dark Tower and Modest mouse right there.

Too bad he stole most of his ideas from a Philip José Farmer novel.
