I watched most of the game. I figured USC would roll through their schedule without a problem, but honestly their poor performances don't really surprise me anymore.
First of all, I said a couple weeks ago that I think Ohio State made them look WAY better than they really are. Everybody was ready to crown USC national champs after that game, but I knew the blowout had just as much to do with Ohio State's ineptness as it did USC's greatness. The Buckeyes were uninspired and were just out-coached by a wide margin.
Second, USC always gets up for the big games, and sleepwalks through the games you expect them to win by 30. Seems to happen to them every year. They lost to 40 point underdog Stanford at home last year.

They're far from over. If there's one good thing about this loss for USC it's that it was in the 3rd game of the season. They have 9 more, so there's still a lot of football to be played. There will be more major upsets of the top teams, so USC will climb back near the top if they win out. The question is, would they get into the title game over a 1-loss Big XII or SEC team?
