I am going with ledger because he is the only one that made me creeped out and laugh at the same time the others were either overly comedic and not creepy enough and were never very funny

After seeing TDK, I have to vote Ledger. He ****ing nailed it. But it was really close with the cartoons. They both have the perfect Joker laugh.

Ledger was amazing. He wins
Hamill is still the voice I think of when I think Joker though.

Everyone voted Heath Ledger.. WHY, he's good but come on he is no where absolultey no where better than Jack Nicholson he did not break any boundries. Can you say fan boyism!? I had an idea people would say Heath because it seems half this forum has been drooling over him since the day he past. I haven't seen The Dark Knight, nor have I watched Batman (since I was 4) although I based my vote on those 9 videos brought to you by Hybrix.

I didn't vote for Ledger because of some kind of fanboyism. I voted for him because I actually watched the movie and he blew Nicholson out of the water. And what kinds of boundaries did Nicholson break when he did the Joker? Not to mention that the links posted weren't even the best parts of any of the Jokers.

I voted for Heath Ledger because of his wonderful acting, Nicholson did a wonderful job as the Joker in the first Batman. But if you actually see the new movie then you'll see why we are all drooling on his performance in The Dark Knight. He does a wonderful job, he's insane, he's deadly, he's everything that you'd want in a Joker. There's no doubt in my mind that he's the best Joker of all time.

Ledger broke no boundaries. Yeah, I guess you're right. I mean, after all, he's only the first truly dark take on the Joker's character. Nothing major really. I mean, all those guys who just copied each other, they're the real revolutionaries.
Voting based on those videos is depressing. It's like saying, "Well I heard some cool things about Obama on the Daily Show, I think I'll vote for him."

I don't mean to sound ignorant but... since when is the joker's trade-mark dark? I thought he was the joker.. he was crazy like nicholson portrayed it.. but not dark.

Joker's always been dark. He's supposed to be the scariest DC villain. The one that gives even the other villains nightmares. He's supposed to be psychotic and uncontrollable, killing people in horrid ways that make the audience laugh. Ledger did all of that.
------
He even caught the aspect of why the joker robs and steals and kills. He also captured the way joker feels about batman.

Unless Heath Ledger whistled his own theme tune in the Dark Knight, i'm going with the animated guy.
