I kinda prefer the slightly more dark themes. Alot of superhero stories revolve deeply around the balancing of their tremendous powers. Seeing them goof off alot (like the dance scene in the second F4 movie) takes a bit away from the characters for me. Even Ironman delves alot into Tony Stark battling alcoholism and depression later in the comic and that is likely to be a theme in the Ironman sequel(s). It is a way to make the characters more human. Them having fun can be fine if it's done in certain ways, but the way it was done in the second F4 didn't do it for me. It worked in Ironman because it fit his character so well. It doesn't really fit anyone in the Fantastic Four except Johnny really.

One-man dancing train coming through! Make some room for the funk!

I like the second because they didn't have to learn all their powers and that gets boring. However, Jessica Alba always has my attention.

I've seen the second but not the first. I liked some of the Galactus scenes. Pretty cool effects. Other than the CG and the Surfer, I'm not really a fan of the Fantastic 4.

The 2nd one looked better than the first one but I haven't seen all of the Silver Surfer one.
