Have you seen Nick Fury in the Ultimate universe of the MARVEL or perhaps even seen Ultimate Avengers?

The concept was based on SLJ in the first place. It does make sense why they would use him. Besides, I don't think they could've gotten David Hasselhoff to be Nick Fury again. lol

Marvel Comics actually asked SLJ if they could base the Ultimate version of Nick Fury on his appearance and personality. SLJ, being a big comic book fan freely gave his permission.

This is where I'm conflicted... In my Honest Opinion.... The Ultimate Marvel Universe is a pathetic version of what had already been perfected in the 90's. Im not a fan of it what so ever.

You and I both. Unlike a lot of my friends who think The Ultimate Universe is the greatest thing since the orgasm, I'm not impressed by it at all. I'll read an occasional issue in my local comic shop or at a bookstore but I guess I'm too much of a Old School Marvel fan to get into The Ultimate Universe.

So I saw iron Man last week finally and it was better than expected. How Jon Favreau got to be a director for this movie is beyond me, but either way it worked out for us.

I have to say I didn't know that Jeff Bridges was going to be in this movie. I didn't like him as much but Robert Downie Jr was great. His mannerisms as Tony Stark were impressively authoritative and even Gwenyth Paltrow's role wasn't turned into a meaningless romantic element.

There were a few things that I didn't like but that's just me nitpicking. I didn't quite understand the editing at the beginning. Usually a cut-back like that is used to demonstrate something a little more expositional. However that's a minor drawback from everything else.

CATCHPHRASE OF THE WEEK: Mattell, misleading children since 1982.
