the thing about the riddler is he might be a little too similar to the joker.

so what if, in the aftermath of TDK, a bunch of Joker copycats pop up, among them the riddler and harley quinn?

or what about Talia al Ghul? her seeking revenge on Batman could be damn cool too, and it'd close off the trilogy with a final resolution to the concept of the league of shadows. that would in turn bring batman full circle to confront his origins...or something like that.

I don't think catwoman would fit well at all, unless she was another batman copycat like we saw in TDK.

If they do the Riddler and the Penguin then they've nailed most of the popular Batman villains. I'd prefer having them over catwoman. I don't think she would be the best option.

Maybe she could be in the movie WITH the Riddler and the Penguin but then we start feeling like we are watching a parade of villains like in Spiderman 3. If the movie was long enough it could work but I definitely don't want 3 to be "Villain to go" fast food style. I want developed characters like the villains so far.

I don't think that's official YET but all the big entertainment sites are calling it now. There's also a ton of talk about Philip Seymour Hoffman playing the Penguin alongside the Riddler in the next film.

If this is true then the third has a huge change of being even better than the 2nd. If there's one person who isn't afraid to follow Ledger's performance it's Depp.

I think that this is a time and a place where there needs to be soft treading for Nolan. It's only been a few weeks since the movie came out It's just all rumors. jolie would be a horrible catwoman becuase although she has the beauty and form she needs to actually act because you have to fill in for Ledger and htats going to take some work. Depp could be a riddler, but every villian has to be "remade" in order to really not make the trilogy go into a dive bomb. Also wohoever did the whoel marketing and advirtising campaign needs to do it again.

There was something in the Metro about it (very little) then Diddums said its been on MTV...but i reckon Depp would be Riddler, i can't think of anyone better.

Good Lord that would be fantastic. Just picturing his persona without even movement feels right. Mannn, that would be brilliant.

Riddler!!!!, Johnny Depp you say... that would blow my brains out it will be so awesome, really hope he does play the Riddler.

I just think he's too predictable for it. Depp does all the "crazy" or "eccentric" roles. I'd like to see them pick a no-namer who really fits the bill.
