Someone already pointed out the fact too that Gordon's daughter is tiny, so unless they came up with a new story for Batgirl, she's not possible.

Well if you think back to the old movies, Bat-girl in that wasn't even related to Gorden, she was Alfred's neice.

Yeah, but that's inaccurate. She was Alfred's niece in Batman and Robin because they had no Gordon character. In comics, she first appeared as Gordon's daughter and thus it's her true identity. Batman and Robin sucked balls anyways.

Also, it's odd to note that in The Dark Knight, commissioner Gordon's wife is named Barbara (while his daughter is unnamed). Foreboding?

Actually, I remembered reading that his wife's name was Barbara in the comics. I looked it up on Wiki, and found I was right

In Post-Crisis continuity, there has been no mention of Tony Gordon. James Gordon has a brother, Roger Gordon. James and his wife, Barbara Eileen Gordon, are the parents of a son, James Gordon, Jr.

Roger Gordon and his wife, Thelma Gordon, are parents of Barbara "Babs" Gordon (later Batgirl and Oracle). When Babs was 12 or 13, her parents (Roger and Thelma) died. She moved to Gotham City and lived with her uncle, aunt and cousin. Eventually, James and Barbara adopted Babs. However, the couple divorced and James retained custody of Babs, while Barbara moved to Chicago with James, Jr. (Secret Origins #20). Barbara and James, Jr. are rarely mentioned and presumably still reside in Chicago. It has recently been revealed that James had an affair with Thelma, and might be the biological father of Babs. (Batman: Gotham Knights #6)
So, that part is true to the comics.

Yeah we noticed that too, we just figured the daughter was called Barbara too :/

In other news...Kate Beckinsale for cat-woman, IMO! She kicks major ass.
