From what I've seen of Batman Begins and soon Batman Dark Knight I don't think Robin would fit well.
i dont think he will fit well either, and i never really liked him to begin with. he just seem so weak and inadequate to Batman. i just think he is unnecessary

Robin is gay lol. But seriously he doesn't belong in "this series" he'll just be so out of place IMO. Like someone said earlier no one will be able to take him seriously. Everytime you mention him to someone they all reffer him to "Batman's sissy sidekick". But on the other hand Nolan as done an amazing job with every character so far, so it's always possible he could make Robin look dark as well. But I cant really seeing it happen, so I dont want them to introduce him.

No. The new Batman is a solitary tragic figure. A gay sidekick would screw up his mojo.

I say no for a couple reasons:
1) This is the early years of batman so I feel it should focus on batman alone and not bring another person in.

2) I feel that robin doesnt fit well into the picture as presented by Nolan

3) There is plenty more to explore in early batman mythos before Robin, for example the creation of the bat-cave!

I agree that it's probably too early.

That said, Robin could fit in perfectly to the theme. He'd just have to be handled well. Often in the comics, villains have a similar reaction you guys do to Robin (what's this kid doing here?). But then he beats the crap out of them.

I know Nolan might not be up for 2 more (although if he doesn't do at least one more, it will be a travesty. All this talk about him maybe not doing a 3rd has me worried). But I think it would be ideal if in the next movi, Batman develops his fighting and detective prowess, as he should as he gains experience. Then, in a 4th one, we could see Robin, but he'd be an awesome fighter. Plus, in many versions of Robin's origin, he was brooding at first, since his family had just been murdered in front of him. Part of the reason Batman took him in was to prevent him from snapping. If they played that angle, he could fit perfectly.

I'd like that angle, and maybe if he was more than just a circus kid and also a bit of a street punk it'd add to the mood. But that's just me brain-storming.

I don't mind Robin but i think Nightwing would be better :D

Pugz the problem is he was robin before he was nightwing so unless there is a time jump nightwing will more than likely never make it to the big screen since nolan is hesitant about even making a third one

I think the idea of an edgier Robin could work out, if they abandoned the cheesy "teamwork" angle. I just watched Batman Begins again, and I was thinking it would could work if Bale's Batman saw a younger version of Bruce Wayne in Robin's character, but treats him like Raz Al Goul treated him when he was training him, it could work. could also play into the whole street punk aspect people have been throwing around. I think that if they worked out the kinks built into Robin's character, and reworked his costume...ALOT

then it could work.

Robin was only portrayed well in maybe one tv series and a few comics. Mostly he is a tag-along that holds back batman. The new movies are Dark Knight and I don't see how a side-kick could fit into that.

He may or may not have been portrayed well, but he's almost never held back Batman. For one thing, nothing can hold back Batman... ;)
