I would be skeptical if they were to make Carnage the focal point of the next one. For one, as it was stated earlier, Carnage is flat our ruthless, so they would have to tread a fine line between marketable and faithful to make it work, and I have a feeling marketable would win out and ruin it.

Also, I am a bit shabby on my comic book history, but I thought that one of the big selling points of Carnage was that he was so ruthless and powerful that Spidey had to join forces with Venom to take him down. That obviously can't be done after the cluster**** of a movie called Spider-Man 3.

The Kraven/Lizard story mentioned earlier sounds like it would be good, but I doubt that the studio execs would like taking the Spidey movies from the well known Venom to the substantially less known Kraven.

There's a good chance Sam Raimi won't be directing any more SPIDER-MAN movies. He's bought the rights to a number of pulp characters including THE SHADOW, which he's been wanting to film for years. He couldn't afford the rights to those characters before which is why he created DARKMAN which is his homage to those 1930's/40's pulp heroes.

I think at this point in the Spider-man movies I would look forward to a movie redux like they did with the Incredible Hulk. As long as they have good casting and good writing I would love to see it in a new fashion. (so to speak)

Heh heh, remember those movies? I only saw two of them but you could tell Raimi had fun directing them.

As long as his version of "The Shadow" (to which I am an incredible fan of the radio series) doesn't include any of the Baldwin brothers I shouldn't have too many complaints... until I see it that is.

I'm not so sure... I'm so exhausted from the past two Spider-Mans that I'm wondering whether I want to see it again on screen, at least so soon. Maybe after we've forgotten about it's previous tragedies in a couple years then I could go for another Spider-Man.
