I went and saw it again last night. Much like any other movie its always fun to catch it a second time on the big screen. I got to notice all the little things like the look on Officer Ramirez's face when she walked Harvey Dent into the car before he's strapped to the bomb.
The little things like that really stick out when you look for 'em.
Oh and I took this pic, sorry for the crappy quality my phone doesnt have the greatest camera. Someone was asking about the Tribute to Heath Ledger in the Credits, well here it is:

I finally saw it and guys I am in complete awe, my appendix could have ruptured and I would not have taken my eyes off the screen. I'm so glad that it lived up to the hype and even though I'd seen a lot of trailers the film was constantly suprising me.
Cast
The major players all did exceedingly well , even some of the minor roles felt fleshed out in ways that most big budget blockbusters never care to. Apart from some dodgey extra acting it was all superb.
I think Bale offered the least to his role, don't get me wrong I think he was great but of the 3 primary characers he left the smallest impression on me. His Bruce Wayne was interesting though and it was good to see how more mature the character had become.
Heath Ledger - Amazing. That was not an actor on screen, that was the Joker. He had the perfect balance of comedy / psycho. I love all his little quirks and Heath really nailed the whole mental instability of the character.
Eckheart was the big suprise for me though, I thought his part as Dent was fantastic. One of my favourite scenes was when he points the gun at that guys head and flips the coin and batman stops him. It was great that it suggested Harveys more twisted nature even before his accident.
I could instantly tell Maggie had much more style in the role than Katie Holmes. I wasn't that suprised by her death because my friend already knew someone died because of a review he'd read. I figured it would be her. I thought it was great that she didn't chose Bruce over harvey, it's such a refreshing thing to see and added to the realism of the film.
Overall it was amazing and I can't wait till I go see it again.

Well, it points to his willingness to intimidate, but he was never going to kill the guy...

You know this how?
The guy has a reputation already for being Two-Faced. I bet he may have done it, he has to have some evil in him for the Joker to be able to provoke him so easily.

Because he would have never been able to kill him.
He told the guy himself he couldn't do it so he was going to leave it to chance. He threatened him to kill him if the coin came up tails... though his coin was still a double-header so it would never come up tails. He was trying to scare him into talking.

Still, doesn't change the fact that he may have seriously hurt the guy. I'm not bought. I think he had a bit of lingering evil but it was in check, it's why the Joker got to him because Dent was in a weak and crazed mental state and the Joker was able to pluck at the evil exposed in his heart. Someone with a reputation for being two-faced and whose willing to steal and ambulance and beat up a thug at gunpoint with seething rage has to have some danger in him.

Sure, I agree completely, Dent had a sinister side to him before he got the burns. But I'm confident he wasn't going to kill the guy, even without Batman's intervention.

This was an amazing piece of film. I could only see it once in theaters (not made of $$$, can't go see one film 3-4 times) but trust me, If I only seen it once for the rest of my life it would be stuck in my head. This is a memorable, excellent comic book movie.
The cast is beyond amazing. This has to be the best cast I've seen in a film in a LOOOONG time. Does Heath Ledger deserve an oscar? Yes he does. His performance of The Joker is beyond words. He plays the insane, psychoic clown prince of crime to perfection. I don't think anyone will ever outdo his performance of The Joker. He blew Nicholson away.
This is a 10/10, A+ film.

Even cooler would be if they were using live ammunition when Harvey Dent shot Batman
