what did you guys think of this one?

first off, has anyone actually read the comic series? I've got it in a trade paperback, and its pretty good. the movie changed the entire premise of the graphic novel though: the comics are about super heroes (or rather, villains) and the movie is about a secret society of assassin's. some of the characters are the same, but very little remains true to the books. most of the characters names had been changed as well. I'm just not sure I was comfortable with how much was changed, given how much I liked the comics and the premise of the world being run by a society of super villains.

a couple things they added that came from no where:
> The Loom of Fate (wtf?!)
> Curving Bullets
> names : "Cross" "Sloan" "the Repair Man" "the Russian" (who I think might have been based on the dollmaker?) "The Butcher"
> the healing wax goop stuff. that game from nowhere.
> ergonomic keyboards and anxiety things

things that WERE in the book:
> shooting the wings off of flies
> Wesley, The Fox,
> his best friend sleeping with his girlfriend
> ****y boss

..basically the first 15 minutes of the movie. after that they started taking liberties.

Thought we had a thread about this already? Either way, I never read the comics but I was getting annoyed through the middle of it when watching it with the dude. Can't really pinpoint it now but he irked me. Was it a Marvel Comic because I don't remember the beginning with that.

I would have like the movie more if everyone didn't have the exact same power while still saying the main character is somehow unique for having the same power as everyone else.
