My sister and I are drawing/writing a manga right now that seems to be going ok. So far we just have basic sketches for the characters but the story is going ok. I would like to know what could be added. I want everyone's opinions on it.

Basic outline: There's this evil corporation that is slowly taking over the world. They get cities and villages to join them by telling them that they can help make their lives better. The main hero wants to take down the corporation because they kidnapped his brother. He has other people helping him along his journey. The main guy joins a tournament because the winner gets tobecome a member of the corporation's army, so it will let him get inside and find his brother. We were thinking of making a twist where the main hero's brother is actually high up in the corporation and has become evil. Also we wanted for there to be some reason for the girl to help out the hero but we can't really think of one except maybe the little boy gets killed or something.

These are the main characters: A little boy who lost his home town and tags along with a teenage girl. The teenage girl also lost her home town and is taking care of the little boy by working as a waitress in a resteraunt. There is a martial artist who used to be a world champ but during a match he killed a guy and quit. The main hero who wants to take down the corporation. There is a mysterious guy who is following them throughout their journey and helps them when they are in trouble. Possible the main hero's brother as the antagonistor maybe just keep it the evil corporation.

Wayyy too vague so far. You seem to have part of the skeleton of this story put together, but you need to figure out what this "evil" corporation does and why would they randomly kidnap people, you know? And how villages and cities "join" them? Can you clarify this a bit?

Well, I didn't wanna cram too much into 1 post. Basically, towns and whatnot join the corporation because they can promise them protection by having soldiers occupy the area. What the people don't realize is that the corporation is really kinda setting up a military government making it so that no one can oppose them. The corporation is bascially just your classic evil corporation who make money off the suffering and hardships of others. Also they kidnap people who either oppose them and get rid of them and they also kidnap people who they think would make good members of their army or in the inner groups and then they brainwash them. The martial artist joins the tournament thats being held so he can get back to his former glory, the girl and boy are living in that town, and the main hero joins because the winner gets to join the corporations army or inner groups.

Be as elaborate as you can because right now, it's very boring because it's very cliche. I still want to know how this corporation functions.

Here's one kind of conflicting idea I see. If they go around kidnapping and brain washing people, why would they decide to be legit and hold a tournament all of a sudden? Also, how do they kidnap people and get away with it? Family members have to realize their relatives are missing (perhaps not always finding them, but there's still a chance).

Once again, the details are just too foggy for me to pass judgment on. The plot is not too original, but that isn't a problem if you can build some strong characters and make the world unforgettable.
