Question What was your first comic?

Hi all.

As a fellow comic junkie and collector I was wondering what comic was your first read? And what comic got you started in collecting? And do you still read and collect comics?

I started this thread so I guess I will start it off.

The first comic that I ever read was a Star Wars Comic. I didn't like it..

The comic that got me started was Ghost Rider #1. Seeing a hero like him blew my mind..My folks didn't like him so they introduced me to the BAT, Spider-man and most of the hero's we have all come to know and love.

Yes!!! Yes!!! And Yes...I still collect and read comics, mostly for the love and the older stuff for the love and the money..

So how about you?

Probably the Batman: Mask of the Phantasm comic that came with the video. Man, that movie was great.

The Beano. My boyfriend gave it to me though. When we first started to fall for each other I asked if we could make a little box of things that mean something to us that we could give to each other. The Beano was one of the things he put in the box!

I've got an idea - an idea so smart my head would explode if I even began to know what I was talking about.

I have that same one icegoat. In mint condition. I also have up to #33 of the Spider-Man series.

With it was the Amazing Spiderman though..

My first comics were Spiderman comics. Followed closely by Batman and some X-Men.

Hi ya..

Todd McFarlane was a comic God when he did that cover! That is some of his best work next to Faust and Spawn..

Good book to have I have all 4 different covers for that comic/w autographs & COAs

That book you have is worth 20-33.00..Hold on to it for a few more years and you will have a good chunk of change for that.

My first comic....was a spiderman comic, but after I turned 10 I grew out of that stuff. I'm not saying it's immature, I just got tired of it.

Wow Hybrix, your comic background is dead on with mine! I subscribed to Spiderman after that issue (I have no clue how many I have to be honest!) then I eventually also got into Batman. When the Marvel "crossovers" got real popular was about the time I got a little into X-men.
