Can you add an image after the auction has started?

Can you do that? If so, does it have to be before there are bids on the item?

Yep, If you have a bid you can't add pictures through ebay.. But, If you have some web space somewhere you can upload pictures there then link them to the pictures by adding to the decription.

Thats weird cuz the Pudding Lady put a pic up of her Daughters prom dress after there were many bids...I could never figure it out either!!! But she did it and it was not a link either it was right there on the added discription...need to ask her!!

I think there's a way to use an outside picture site to do that.. Someone should know how or what to use.

Yes, you can add a picture. I just added 5 more to my listing. I used my own html option and copied and pasted from another site. It's pretty simple, just time consuming.
