Are those the only ones they care about? So they wouldn't care about people who open bidding at .01 for a single video game and charge 10 dollars shipping, or something of the type? I'm sick and tired of seeing normal items like that. That's what f*ed me up when I was a new buyer to ebay and had no clue how much certain weights and packages would cost by each service. Sellers like that are dishonest and prey on new users. That's why if they care about ALL auctions like that instead of just the expensive ones, then I believe I gots me some heavy duty NARCing to do...... and I know exactly who's going down first too!

Re: Preapproved Bidders
If they are raising the shipping and others have a much lower shipping then they are, then they are trying to get around the fees. But if it is only a couple of dollars more then it may just be a matter of the shipping supplies.

Re: Preapproved Bidders
I have a nice big digital scale that we got at Sam's Club for somewhere around $30-50. I put the item in a box that I would most likely ship it in & weigh it for a true shipping weight. I use the shipping calculator on almost everything, and whatever the scale says is the weight I put in. In the box for shipping & handling fees, I have $2.00 added in. This is for all my auctions, regardless of how big or small the item might be. This covers ink for the printer, shipping labels, bubble wrap, packing peanuts, etc. I don't explain it in my auctions, but I've never had anyone complain about shipping costs on my stuff either.

Re: Preapproved Bidders
$2.00 is about the maximum I'll allow on a small item without complaining. Unless it's something that can fit in a regular envelope and can be mailed with a 37 cent stamp. Then I won't bid in the first place.

Re: Preapproved Bidders
Nah, I don't bother even charging shipping on something that can go in an envelope with a $0.39 stamp on it. The only thing I sell on that end is formula coupons. I still get them in the mail & she's not drinking it anymore, so I put them on eBay. Usually with a BIN price & free shipping. They always get bought up within a couple hours of putting them on too. With stuff like that, free shipping always draws more attention.

Re: Preapproved Bidders
Hey Andrew, do you know offhand where I'd go to report fee avoidance? I found someone who's selling a bolex camera with the opening bid at like 10 dollars (right now) and shipping and handling starting at 100+ dollars. For the cost of shipping, you could actually buy an airline ticket to South Carolina, pick it up in person, and apparently you'd STILL have to pay 50 dollars S&H for a local pickup. It's ridiculous. I wanna NARC on this fool so bad. I'm gonna go look for a place at ebay to report it, but in case I can't find it, please post it if you know. Their help pages are often confusing.

Re: Preapproved Bidders
Thanks, that should do it. Amazing, on my own I couldn't find anything so simple as "Report Abuse" anywhere. You'd think it would be in plain sight.
