You'll be glad to know that last nite...very late... a bunch of buck nekkid obscenities appeared VERY CLOSE to the listing I share with my son. I don't want him seeing nekkid women right next to his listing so.... I did my little rattle and tattle and *poof* they're gone this morning! teehee Sorry Charley. I don't think we are all talking about the same level of nekkidness tho. Big hooters in a pushy bra are one thing...but bare azz? Or total nudity? I don't think so. Not while my young impressionable son is looking. I would like him to grow up with a healthy respect for women.

:::Waving::: Here I am! Sorry I disappeared again! We have LITERALLY for the past 2 weeks been going to storage auctions. We've bought I think 4 or 5 units. Don't ask me the exact number right now, cuz I can't remember...LOL! Anyway, ALL of our time has been spent going to these auctions, clearing out the units & bringing the stuff back to our house, & going thru everything. So...now ya know where I've been...LOL!

As far as double standards...don't try that one on me either. Our TV is has the censor ratings programmed right in so in order to view anything R-rated, you have to enter a password. But I'm like Angel, I don't watch TV 90% of the time anyway. As far as eBay, Adult pics & Adult auctions should be in the Adult section.

I think all of this mess could be solved in a very simple way. You could theoretically auction whatever item you want as long as you censor only the part of the object that is objectionable. So if you have a peice of art or a picture with some **** showing, but a cloth over the **** or something. It's all in the taking of the picture. In any auction, you don't just put the item on the floor and snap a picture. You gotta consider the lighting, angle, setting, and if necessary, the parts that need to be covered. Not too tough.

I think you missed the original point. I know how to take a tasteful picture; the actual rant had to do with the erotic pictures posted all over eBay's weird section.

I agree with this statement! I'm sorry for coming into the conversation so late, but have just signed on in the last couple of days.

There's no reason to push our kids into being an adult before they're emotionally or physically ready.

Yeah, what mamab said... and as far as "Unless theres a nipple or some (bush) showing, is there really a reason to censor it?" my opinion is - that statement is RIDICULOUS. Men do not look at an unclothed woman and say "What beautiful nipples!" .... they see and enjoy and look at the whole breast. So if any part of the breast is showing, it is inappropriate, IMO.

Well, I think you guys are underestimating how lucrative the selling of photos of one's ex can be. My ex is Angelina Jolie, and she sells well.

Okay, okay, kidding. I don't care WHAT you sell on ebay, I don't. What bothers me is the idea that they'll let some sellers post half-pornographic photos, but pull auctions featuring art that happens to contain nudity. Does anybody at eBay use judgement?
