Hubert is my redguard. He's just your standard blade-orientated warrior for killing Jesus monsters. I think he's around 20 right now.

I'm not very new to Oblivion at all, and I usually stagger my saves around 3-4 + an autosave.

As for my system requirements, I'm just below what it takes to run the game. My Celeron processor coupled with cheap RAM make it hard to run the game. I've never tried to run Half-Life on it, either. I'm not much of a PC gamer as I usually keep a system just under the minimum stats for the games I like to play.

That first one sounds like an orc name. If that is an orc, then what made you pick an orc for a spellcaster when there are two races which are better suited to magic (Altmer and Breton)?

How many of the quests have you done? How high have your characters gone in the various guilds? Have you tried the Dark Brotherhood? Some consider the Dark Brotherhood to have the best quests in the game.

Do you have the add-ons (Knights of the Nine, etc.)?

I picked an Orc basically for the looks. He was actually my first character, and I like him the most still. I can't play him right now because I don't have any of the expansions (I started him on a friend's 360 then stuck him on a memory card for safe keeping). I just thought it would be cool to have an Orc mage, even if he was more blade than magic.

This is all for Dernick, since I like/used him the most. The rest of my characters haven't really done much. I haven't done many side quests, but I've done everything else except for the Fighter's and Mage's guild. I thought the arena was fun, I did that in a sitting. I've done most of The Shivering Isles and part of Knights of the Nine.

I have, on my 360, the new castle and a couple other random small things.

So how did Mazoga respond if you did the "Mazoga" quests? She was rude to my Breton characters. Is she any better with another orc?

I have done the Mage's and Fighter's Guild. If you would like advice, should you play them, then just ask.

Are you aware that on three quests with the Fighter's Guild you get a companion who can't be killed? In the parlance of the game, these are called, "essential" characters.

They can be useful. My current character has Maglir as a permanent sidekick. If you don't actually do the quest, then you can keep the character with you for dungeon dives and other quests.

How is Shivering Isles? Wasn't there a major bug in the original release which needed a patch to fix?

I don't usually like having companions, but I'll try to keep the Fighter's Guild ones alive when I get there.

Shivering Isles is bloody fun. The glitch was fixed (it involved saves not working after so much time).

The thing about those "essential" characters is that you don't have to worry about keeping them alive. They can't die, only go unconscious.

Did you finish the main quest?

Oooh, you mean the ones with the crown. Gotcha.

Yeah, the ending was cool and the last battle was a cluster****.

The "crown" icon indicates "essential" status. You can lead them into Oblivion Gates and even if they fall into lava and don't get out, when you close the gate they are re-loaded with your character back in Tamriel.

So of the times you have played how often have Baurus and Jauffre survived to the end of the main quest? They both usually die in the "Defense of Bruma" unless of course Baurus gets killed in the sewers.

If you have your orc as a battlemage, then why haven't you done the Mage's Guild? There are two spell merchants with high level spells who you can get to by getting accepted into Arcane University. To get accepted into Arcane University, you need only do the "Recommendation Quests."

I was a member of the Mage's Guild when I killed a Mage's Guild member in the latter parts of the Dark Brotherhood.

I don't think Baurus or Jauffre ever lasted very long with me, and that's mostly because I prefer to work alone.

I did Dark Brotherhood as well, what quest was this? So I take it you were ejected from the guild and need to get ingredients to get back in? If it was killing a member, then I think you are required to get vampire dust and daedra hearts. There is a vampire lair south of Chorrol called Fort Carmala. It has a patriach/matriach with some others. A few times through that and you should net the 20 vampire dusts you need.

Daedra hearts can be more difficult if the main quest is over. Alchemists are an option and there is Dark Phanthom Cave east of Leyawiin. It is used in the miscellaneous quest, "Whom God's Annoy." That is a daedra lair. Not all of them will have hearts, no dremora, but at high enough level you could get Xivalai which also have the hearts.

Also depending on how far you are in the Mage's Guild, buy out Volanaro, in Bruma, on spells before you get too far. In fact, buy out all the spells in Bruma before getting too far into the Mage's Guild.
