What new socials do you think they could/should add to the game?

I already think that they have a myriad of socials. I really can't think of anything new that they should have, that they are not already putting into the game.
It would be nice to be able to free walk the neighborhood and knock on a neighbor's door...but I believe that I read in the newsletter that is going to happen. I honestly can't think of any new ones, unless they get rid of some from Sims 2. If the game doesn't come with those though, I would expect another expansion pack to include those. What about you? |

![]() Sims are supposed to simulate people. So the entire catalog of human interaction could be chosen from. From The Sims 1 there was a "worship" social under the "appreciate" option and a "I am not worthy." (type "bow down" a la "Wayne's World")social from one of the expansions from Sims 1. What would you think about bringing these back? What new interactions could be added as either tease or annoy socials? How about items that could be added (with new socials)? |

I think the worship interaction was stupid and would never be simulated in regular conversation with most people, so I don't see a need for those impractical ones to come back...you know, since it's supposed to simulate real people and all. |

My sister is absolutely chomping at the bit for this game. Awful shame it was delayed so badly. I'd overhauled her computer a couple of weeks before the previous date just to prepare for the event. Ah well, the clock keeps tickin' and the mice clickin'.
Personally, I never really managed to lose myself in the Sims. There were too many niggling annoyances for my liking that slowed the game down or made it too much of a chore to play. I'd spend time doing things I had to, as opposed to what I wanted to. That part of realism is one I could have done without. While I understand this was addressed somewhat over the course of the expansions and updates, I'm glad to be informed that they've taken a notable shift in addressing this for #3. I believe the boggy loading screens have been replaced with more of a seamless, on the fly approach too which is hugely welcome. I'll certainly be giving it a test drive when it's finally out. The level of detail in interaction is superb, I must say. It's fascinating to me to just watch the families be. Shame my sister herself wasn't here as she'd have flooded this thread ten fold by now. |

I may be excited for this game, but I don't know. It looks to be a fantastic sequel, I just have a few things holding me back right now: - I completed my collection of The Sims 2 EPs, and that accomplishment and all of the money spent is essentially going down the drain with The Sims 3. EA really needs to give those of us who spent all of that money some benefits. It's a lot of money to spend just to become useless like that. I don't mean huge benefits just maybe some nice little features added into The Sims 3 for us related to the EPs we own. It wouldn't be unfair at all, IMO... but I know it's not going to happen. And I'm not very happy about that. - Computer... I don't know if my laptop will run it, and it's been giving me problems lately (well it has been giving me problems in all of the year and a half I've owned it, but these are different.) My desktop is really slow now and doesn't run games at all without crashing. It couldn't even run Google Earth. With the fact that it will be running all families at once in my mind I fear my laptop will not be able to handle it. Also, that feature I mentioned above is incredibly double-edged. It sounds really awesome and will definitely make the game more fun in some ways, but it will also change things in bad ways. I guess the best thing to do would to be to pick one family in each neighborhood to play, and that would maximize the enjoyment of it... because the other families are completely out of control and will age on anyways and do things you wouldn't want them too if you were controlling them. |

I would like only a few more things:
1. Better graphics (obviously) 2. About 10x more actions lol 3. Smarter Sims, who can pee by themselves 4. about 10x more objects |

(The removal of the autonomous "stuff face" action for eating could be a starting point. )What actions and objects would you like to see added? |
