A topic about StarCraft! Has anybody ever played this game back in the late '90's or even now? What is your favorite race and what was your handle?

I thought Protoss was an amazing race with great defense such as the cannons, Dragoons and Zealots. A couple of my aliases were: FF-Imp, Jinxed-Elf, IA-Kefka and Mag[i]Tek.

Those gross guys were the Zerg! They were great at massing units and creating fast expansions. =)

I used to play StarCraft. Protoss was my favorite race, I always surrounded my base in two or three layers of towers. I liked their Carrier space crafts.

I had different strategies for each team.

Protoss - have to have templar with storm for defense, with mass cannons as well. I also preferred the carrier or mass dragoon strategy.

Zerg - I would always fill my base with colonies. Then I would go mass hydralisks or go air.

Terran - I would get tanks and battlecruisers at my entrance. It was almost impenetrable. Mass turrets around my base too.

I would always play fastestmap by the way, so my strategies reflect that.

My main name was Van002.

One time I played with a guy who covered his whole zerg army with Overlords so that you couldn't tell how big it was. You also couldn't choose who to attack in his army. Luckily he was on my team.

Maybe we should all get a game going for a 3v5COMP FMP (Fastest Map Possible) sometime...

For FMP I liked to use Zerg since they could rush and create enemies with ease. It was difficult at the beginning, though, since the computer could easily rush you and take you out in a matter of minutes.
