It's a safe bet, for three reasons. First, the world is still in the mood for it after the LOTR trilogy. Second, The Hobbit was (although I've never seen why it's classed as such) written as a children's book. Three, the original film of The Hobbit, like the original film of LOTR, was pretty darn successful and a money-spinner, so another Jackson interpretation is, as someone else commented above, a licence to print money.

I was going to yell at you for brinigng this one back but you gave us new news. I didn't know Jackson was going to be involved at all. I'm glad he's on board.
