Luke is the worst Star Wars name
Come on.... You have Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, Anakin, Yoda, Lando, Chewbacca, ETC...
As far as I can think of, Luke is the only normal name in Star Wars...
That would never have happened if Star Wars was made nowadays.
I mean come on.. "Luke?" That's not a "space" name. I mean, I know people named Luke. I don't know people named Padme.

The name Darth Maul is pretty dumb too.
It is not a very creative name, considering that maul is an actual word.

Although his last name is Skywalker...Luke Skywalker...it's not that bad.

It's interesting to put it like that I have never thought of that before. Of course I can't imagine anything but "Luke I am your father" sounding good there except for the name luke.

Luke Skywalker is pretty damn cool, IMHO...maybe not as cool as his original name of "Luke Starkiller"....
Han Solo and Lando Calrissian were the best names.

I thought that lando was pretty stupid, han solo was the best though along with chewbacca they were the coolest.

How could you not have liked the prequels? I thought they were awesome and I'm incredibly picky. (But yeah I agree with you on the bad name good movie thing)

Probably why George Lucas changed it to 'Skywalker'. But let's face it, STAR WARS is cheesy. It's 30's/40's "Flash Gordon" and "Buck Rogers" serials amped up to the max. The main reason why STAR WARS was such a hit when it debuted back in the 70's was that nobody had seen this type of film done since the 30's/40's and done so well.
