-Best character in the originals
Lando Calrissian. Pure pimp-i-ness

-Best character in the prequels
Obi-Wan, because he was wittier and could actually move fluidly.

I guess the order isn't really important. The first time that I watched the original trilogy was when the USA network ran a whole weekend marathon of them. I watched Empire first, then Jedi then Hope. I'm glad I saw Empire first, considering it's the best out of all the movies (in my opinion).

I liked the prequels...I wasn't wowed by them or blown away like I was with the original trilogy though. I really liked the clone troopers and Revenge was the best of the new movies (mainly because of the darker tones). I will admit that I feel that Ewan McGregor did a hell of a job playing Obi-Wan and his transistion from young Obi to Alec Guiness' old Obi was nicely done.

Oh gawd, I want to see it.

As for my favorite character in the originals, it would be Han Solo. He's that cool space pirate that I would be if I had a ship. Hell, I want to be a pirate of any type. I'm all ready a cyber pirate, I might as well take to the actual seas now.

The prequals in my opinion were pretty, but mediocre. My favorite character in the last two prequals was Yoda. It's awesome seeing a character that was very sedentary in all the other movies throw his cane down and do a style of light saber fighting that I can only describe as Crazy Monkey style. In Episode One, it's Anneken (SP?). When I first saw it, he was around my age. So I related to the little **** with the high mini chlorine count.

**** that damn blog.

-Why should I watch Star Wars?
Why Breathe?

-It is a must to start from the beggining?
4,5,6,1,2,3 its how i watched them. I was brought up with star wars, the jedi code ect ect. There is know better way to watch them then the above.

-Are they all worth watching or I can skip a few and won't get lost?

Refer to my above point on why you should watch them.

As for clone wars, my jedi costume is already at the dry cleaners and ive ordered the make your own lightsaber set online :D

Oh and no character is better then the deepness of DV.

When I get a chance I'm gonna go see the Clone Wars movie, chances are it'll be good despite the Clone Wars-cartoony graphics.

I've never watched them either. They never appealed to me. My boyfriend's always tried to get me to watch at least one but I've always refused.

Mom told me never to talk to strangers, and you're pretty strange.

I've only started watching Star Wars four years ago (and I have no excuse like "not being born yet" when the first three movies came out ). But I had a period when I decided to catch up with popular movies (godfather trilogy, star wars, star trek) to understand references made about them in newer films. Anyway I'm glad I did, even if it's just to not make me feel like an alien when someone mentions the movie and I go "I don't know what you're talking about".

I suggest the same order only because the surprise in 6 is one of the things I liked about it. If I watched 1-3 first, the info would would not have the same effect. Unless you already know what I'm talking about even before watching it. In that case, go watch it chronologically 1-6.

Listen to the man! They're fantastic. Flawed, sure but all negatives are overpowered by great story telling, some great characters (give Yoda pets) and of course, lightsabers! The special effects are, at times, excellent too.

I actually saw the modern ones before I properly viewed any of the earlier installments. After seeing a couple (and playing Knights of the Old Republic) I really started to lose myself in their world(s). Had great fun going through the others afterwards.

If you like to immerse yourself in a world far more exciting and interested than ours for a good chunk of hours, give it a shot. I'm kind of glad I watched IV - VI first and I'd still do that now if I could go back but I think you might enjoy them either way.
