I wouldn't say that sex is over rated. It's an activity that produces a lot of different stress levels on your body and provides for some pretty interesting experiences. Plus even with the miracles of sciences, humans only have a limited window to have sex in, so there is a rush of sorts to do it.

I think sex is an important part of a relationship. I mean after all it's extremely pleasurable, and you want to be with someone that makes you happy. Granted your lover doesn't have to be perfect in bed, but being in a relationship with someone who doesn't turn you on, or doesn't hit that chord right in bed just doesn't make much sense to me.

Being a virgin, (15), I can't really say that sex is overrated, but I don't think making real love could ever be overrated. Ever.
Maybe one night stands and ****, yeah that would be a little overrated.

It usually depends on who you have it with. If they're good or bad, then the idea of sex can be over or underrated...

Also it can depend on your sex drive.

Sex is one of the more fun things a person can do. But it's not the only fun thing a person can do.

That's what most don't realize.

i think sex is played up by the media a lot... but its not "over-rated"
i know people who pretty much live and breathe for sex. it's just who they are. i know people who have never had sexual interest in anyone. its just who they are. the act is not over-rated because it really depends on who you are and your views on sex.

personally, i dont live and breathe for sex because i view it as a physical expression of love. and being in love is not over-rated.

Oh yeah now I remember Me and Mrs Saint did that a couple of times when we first got together. I can't remember if it is over rated or not.

It's a way of relieving stress and is a vital part of any healthy relationship.

At the same time though, alot of people put it on a pedestal. I'm a firm believer of the idea that sex is just sex. People need to relax and stop making it such a big deal.

I also frown upon people who frown upon those who enjoy one night stands. Sex between two safe, consenting adults with no ties is nothing to shake your head at. As I said before, it's fun, healthy and not in the slightest bit demoralising for any of the two (or three...or four...etc.) concerned.

You could almost call it sport!

I say yes, sex is overrated. There's more important things to me in this world than sex. Plus, it takes too much energy and I'm a very lazy person.
