No but there is some great advice here though. Confidence definately goes a long way. Don't have to be loud and brash but being comfortable with yourself ticks boxes. Listening to and understanding them is pretty vital in building anything meaningful. Compliments, manners, good hygiene. Perhaps ask if she wants to go see a movie sometime. It's fun, light hearted and her response will give you an early indication on whether you might be walking down the wrong road.

Small gestures like buying the food/drink at the flicks go a long way, if you get that far. Try and take the lead a little and make her feel she's in safe company. You're a young lad though so just relax, don't put too much pressure on yourself and have a pop, as yourself. If it goes wrong it's not the end of the world.

If it does indeed fail though, an alternate method to consider:
  1. Tan in a can. Grab some. Spray steadily across the facial area until you resemble a basketball.
  2. Get yourself a cheap ride. Shiny rims and a mega blaster sound system are a plus.
  3. Don't have an ego? Get one. Shove a tire pump in that badboy and inflate til it's about to do an a-bomb.
  4. Change dialect. 'Lady', 'thing' and 'friend'? No. '****', '****', 'dude'. Learn them. Use them.
  5. Spike that hair up, young warrior! Gel it and poke the sky.
  6. Forget anything important you know and replace it with memories of getting trashed at parties, joint rolling techniques and as many grade A swear words/insults as you can think of.
  7. Manners are for wimps. From now on, you're an ****.To your mom. To your friends. Even to yourself.
  8. Finally, consider getting a bicep tattoo. It also wouldn't hurt to grab 10 pairs of blue, faded jeans and some colorful shirts to go with them.
Now you're finally ready to win the girl! Drive up in your ride with a couple of buddies in the back and yell "get in the car, ****!". If she doesn't get in, she's probably a lesbian. But who cares? All the popular, good looking chicks in school are now yours.

Have fun and you're welcome!

I was going to chime in with some deep, profound thoughts, but how can I compete with this little gem of advice?
Get your tan on!

Yes...ahem, this is in fact, per se, what I actually meant, of course....

Not that I, you know, have a stocking fetish or anything...

Nope, it's knee high socks that do it for me

You treat me as an outsider. You call an outcast, brand me an exile, but I am not so different from your kind, you know. Some small part of me was once Human. Perhaps this is why I fight for you...

It's all great. Thanks guys. One thing though. The one chance I have at the moment, if she will say yes, is difficult. But that aside. Supposing she does say yes, I know that it will be my Mum who will take us both there at the same time. I'll just feel awkward in front of my Mum. Plus it's like a 25 minute drive to anywhere interesting (it'll probably be the cinema) so I'll be more nervous about talking than usual!!!! What's more it'll just feel wierd with me turning my head to look at her in the back seat and talking to her while my Mum's right next to me driving. It would be an awkward and nightmarish 25 minutes!!!

Any way to get around it?

None I can think of that won't result in your hide getting tanned. Unless you're a master at avoiding being caught..

I don't know how diplomatic your mother is but have you told her how you feel about this? I agree that would be uncomfortable but if it has to be the case, don't let it ruin the day. If she says yes then it's celebration time all the way!

You want to be yourself, but show interest in the girl. If they're interested back, then you got chemistry. If she does not like who you are, then it is not going to work out. It would be a waste of time for you to pretend to be someone else. As a tip, try to show her your uniqueness, whatever makes you stand out of the crowd. Play your strengths, what you are good at and excel in.

Sit in the back seat with her and whisper.

There was a quote here, but the the person who SAID the quote and pretty much ASKED for it to be placed in my sig asked for it to be removed.
