X Games 14

The X-Games started July 31st and will end Aug. 3rd.

Has anybody been keeping up-to-date with the events going on?

The coolest, yet most dangerous thing I've seen was when a guy was on a skateboard going for a high jump on a ramp, came down, his feet clipped the ramp and did this cool looking backflip. He landed on his back and was ok. It reminded me of last year when another guy did the same thing, and crashed down on the ramp. He broke a few bones, however, he recovered nicely.

Things have been going smoothly apart of that. So, have you been watching?

I don't really watch the X Games anymore. Seems like they got rid of all the good events and replaced them with more extreme ones. I guess I just don't care about motorcycle jumping. What happened to inline street or rock climbing?

Same, I dislike motorcycle, rally car and skate park events.

Every year it seems like they get rid of ton of events: rollerblading, surfing, rock climbing, ect... Some well balance events would be good rather than BMX vert, skateboarding vert, BMX park, skate park so-on and so-on.

I hate how they added a really cheesy rally competition. Did you see how many cars couldn't even qualify? There were at least 2-3 runs where cars couldn't finish. They even had to give out two bronze medals because of it.

The X games are more for BMX and Motocross, If you want to see boards and blades check out the Gravity Games. This years was AWESOME!!!!! I'll post a few vids as soon as I can.

I can't wait for next year cause I will be going to it. Did you see that they are adding Longboard slalom to the line up of events?

Oh yeah, I get the X Games and Gravity Games mixed up. I think they're one in the same.

Err... is there a listing that shows when what game is happening and on what station? I generally only find out about it on a random Saturday when I'm surfing the tube. Other than that, I never see any promotion for contest such as AST Dew Tour, X Games, Gravity Games, ect...

I get the games listings from Team MBS website and Surf pro magazine. I think there is a direct link for the gravity games but I can't remember what it was. I'll see if I can find it for ya.

You can also find listings in the back of Thrasher magazine and in some comic books too.
