Cuba, Haiti, and Suriname were eliminated today.

USA, Costa Rica, and El Salvidor have clinched spots in the final group of 6. Trinidad & Tobago, Guatemala, Mexico, Honduras, and Jamaica are fighting for the final three spots.

Canada played a meaningless half decent game against Mexico.

Of the 203 countries that started qualification we're down to 100 that can still qualify (53 of them are from Europe). They're fighting for 31 spots in the finals. South Africa is automatically qualified as the host nation.

Here's the final group for CONCACAF. Top 3 qualify. 4th place goes to a playoff against the 5th place South American team. The double round-robin starts in February.

My opinion, Honduras will make a (uesless) world cup appearence.. along with North American powers Mexico and the US. The 4th place team will face Uruguay and loose

I think Costa Rica will finish in the top 2 or 3. They won all six of their games in the last round with a +17 goal differential. That said, they did have the easiest group.

I doubt anyone other then USA or Mexico will finish top 2, their teams have just to much organaziation and talent compared to the rest of Latin & North America

Or it can be an unexpected team like Trinidad and Tobago to make the third place. :)
