USA had a big 2-0 win over Mexico. Nine games to go. I don't think they'll have too much trouble qualifying.

Great game last night by the Americans...watched the entire game. That red card pretty much ended any chances the Mexicans had of at least getting a draw.

I didn't know millz watches football. Or is this payback for my posting in Wrestling?

France and Argentina had a friendly game that I didn't watch. We lost anyway. haha. Oh dear, what preparation for the world cup. Anyway it was big here because Maradona is now coaching Argentina and you know the fans... Gutiérrez and Messi scored the goals.

You'd be surprised how many different sports I try and pay attention too, lol.

My brother is a big time soccer/football nut and follows it closely. Hopefully St Louis gets an MLS team and I can follow it even better.

Australia lost their Qualifier game against Bahrain the other night. They are currently last on the ladder.

I think it's pretty cool that there are exactly 100 teams left that can still qualify. They're fighting for 31 places in the finals, with South Africa getting the auto-qualification.

53 teams in Europe fighting for 13 places
20 teams in Africa fighting for 5 places
10 teams in South American fighting for 4 or 5 places
10 teams in Asia fighting for 4 or 5 places
6 teams in North/Central America and Caribbean fighting for 3 or 4 places
1 team (New Zealand) in Oceania fighting for 0 or 1 place

That's a bit unfair that South Africa gets a automatic qualification into this World Cup, I think they should go through the whole group stages as well.

The hosts have always gotten automatic qualification. It gives the country something to be excited about and look forward to and adds to the overall atmosphere.

The next round of qualifiers is tomorrow. United States has a big road game against El Salvador.

It'll be easy for US to be gainer in the game with Salvador. On qualifying stage is always no problem for the United States, the problem starts in the final stage of World Cup

Serbia has Romania in their game, I hope that is going to be a easy game for the Serbians.
